- Won't drain
Standing water points to a clogged pump filter, an object in the pump, a kinked drain hose or a failed pump.
- Won't spin
Soaking wet clothes point to a worn belt, a failed lid switch or door lock, a bad motor coupler or an unbalanced load.
- Won't start
No lights, or lights but no action. We check the outlet, the door or lid switch, the control board and the keypad.
- Leaking
The door boot, a fill hose, the drain hose, the tub seal or a cracked pump. We find the source first.
- Loud or banging
Banging on spin points to worn suspension rods, shocks or bearings. Grinding or whining usually means bearings or the motor.
- Error codes
Codes differ by brand. Put the code and the model number in your request and we look it up before the visit.
- Door or lid won't lock
A washer will not run with a failed door lock or lid lock. Sometimes the strike is the problem, not the lock.
- Won't fill or overfills
A closed supply valve, a clogged inlet screen, a failed inlet valve or a bad pressure switch. If it overfills, shut the valves.
- Stops mid-cycle
Usually a drain, lid lock or control fault. Where in the cycle it stops tells us a lot.
- Won't agitate or tumble
Fills and drains but the clothes never move. We check the belt, motor, agitator dogs, coupler or control board.
Front-load, top-load and stacked washers
Front-load washers spin faster and use less water. They rely on a rubber door boot, a door lock and a drain pump filter, and the boot and bearings fail most often.
Top-load washers come in two designs. Older agitator models use a belt or direct-drive coupler and a lid switch. Newer impeller models use a lid lock, a shifter actuator and a control board that reports error codes. We service both.
Stacked laundry centers and stacked pairs are tighter to work on, and fixing the bottom unit sometimes means unstacking, so mention it in your request. We also repair commercial and laundry-room washers in apartment buildings, rentals and small businesses.

- Diagnosis and explanation
We confirm the cause, then explain what it needs and what it costs before any repair. If it is not worth fixing, we say so.
- Repair
If we have the part, the repair is finished that visit. Otherwise we order it and schedule the return trip.
